Cosmos. It’s been a few years since I have grown them. They start out kind of spindly and fragile.
I planted them in a small area with my fountains. Along with marigolds, violas, black-eyed susans and bearded iris are in the back.
I ran out of room in my garden so I also planted a couple green peppers in there also.
I started all my veggies from seed and they were the smallest ones. I didn’t have the heart to throw them out!
So I planted them and wished them well. You grow little guys!
I took the picture above with my cell phone. At this point I still had a lot of planting to do.
My vision was that the cosmos would grow tall.
Leading your eye right up to the fountain. And splashes of color from the flowers down below.
That was my vision!
Well they did grow and needless to say they have taken over the area.
If you look closely you can see a couple of flowers trying to peek out from underneath them!
At each corner are the “little green peppers”.
They grew even bigger than the ones I planted in the garden and the cosmos!
Note to self maybe stick with low growing plants in that area.
But when they were in full bloom it sure was pretty!
