Orange Wonder…..Buds To Blooms

Thunbergia or “Big Orange” is the third in this series Buds To Blooms

This little beauty is a vine type plant.  The vines can reach up to 6-8 feet!

What first caught my eye was the little triangular pods that the flowers emerge from.

 

As the blooms emerge they are twisted and begin to unfold

.

To reveal a very dark center.

They are short-lived lasting only a day or two.

As I look out my window I see other flowers starting to bloom. I better grab my camera and get shooting!
